Vintagy Vintageness at The Carriage Hall

A new one for us this week as we joined the evening celebrations of Emma & Josh at The Carriage Hall near Nottingham. The venue is based within an old engine hall for the nearby railway which has been lovingly restored to an icredibly high standard. So many sympathetic details for the whole place, really really nicely done (yes, we’re architecture nerds!).

When we arrived our open-air vintage photo booth setup was planned to be on the mezzanine floor which overlooks the main celebration space which we’d only seen in pictures and wow, it did not disappoint one bit. The space is huge, the ceiling height is massive and this worked perfectly for our oversized backdrops of which Emma had chosen the tropical backdrop.

The separation from the dance floor to the mezzanine made the whole experience really fun, having the guests coming into our own area specifically for the photo booth made it an occasion in itself. Guests who were downstairs could see that something was happening and they gravitated towards the excitiment.

The end result was amazing, over 800 images, 350 great prints for all the guests, some stunning shots and hilarious moments with an awesome group of friends. We feel very priveldged to have been a part of such a special day and cannot wait to visit The Carriage Hall again soon.
